We tried to use different shot angles to portray different emotions of our characters. We used a lot of close up shots and low angles to show weakness of being sad and to emphasize the sorrow they are feeling whilst writing/ reading the letter.

We also used long shots so it made it unclear to see the characters faces which made it slightly mysterious. It also allowed you to see the effect of the lighting we used because it only filled up a small part if the room where the characters were sitting making the focus more on them other then anything else. Also the lighting allows the focus to also be on the letter which is a main part of our title sequence, which made it clearer to read and highlighting its importance.

One of my favorite parts of our final title sequence is the ending where the letter is burnt. We decided to have the letter slowly burn away to represent the slow loss of the two characters love and the fact that they can no longer be together.
I really like that the last words you are able to see are “love” and the characters name “Arrow.” I think this created a dramatic effect because it makes it more personal and tragic.

The title of the film then appears over the top of the flames. I think this also creates a dramatic effect because it looks as if its burning away representing again the love being lost (slowly fading away.) Also because fire connotates negative things usually like death, fear, hell and hate so this emphasizes that it isn’t a good situation.
